Xianju (Home of the Angels)

Xianju is located in the Southeast of Eastern China's Zhejiang Province. According to the historical findings,  Xianju has a history of being over 7,000 years old.

In the third year of the Yonghe Reign (AD 347), a county administration was set up and given the name Le-an County which meant a county where people lived happily and comfortably.

In the fourth year of the Jingde Reip (AD 1007) of the North Song Dynasty (AD 960-1127), Emperor Zhen Zong spoke highly of the area, "With the famous mountains and wonderful caves around the place, it has many abodes where the angels are living." Thus, it was renamed by his imperial edict as "Xianju County," meaning a place where the angels live. The name as well as the natural beauty of the area remain the same today.

History of our Green Tea

As legend has it, one day in 2737 BC., the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung was boiling drinking water over an open fire, believing that those who drank boiled water were healthier. Some leaves from a nearby Camellia Sinensis plant floated into the pot. The emperor drank the mixture and declared that it provided "vigor of body, contentment of mind and determination of purpose."  Perhaps as testament to the emperor's assessment, tea (the beverage he unwittingly brewed that day) is currently second only to water in worldwide consumption.

The discovery of Emperor Shen Nung of GREEN TEA, makes China truly the home of GREEN TEA. Almost all tea seeds from over 50 different tea growing nations originated from China. The medical as well as the refreshing merits of tea have not been fully appreciated in the western world until recent years, but awareness of these benefits is increasing by leaps and bounds.
